CAPACITY AND YOUR WILLPOWER

Capacity and your Willpower

Sometimes you wonder how people whom you think you have more capacity than perform better than you.

They do videos you’re saying “I would have done a better video”, you hear their speeches, you say I could have made a better speech than they did, he should have said it this way. Lol

You see, that happens on a regular basis with people who don’t push themselves, or afraid to take risk or waiting for perfect times and outcomes, even though they think they have the ability to do great things.

I remember one Saturday when I was coming back from watching a champions league final at Eko hotel in Victoria Island Lagos around 11 p.m. I was driving a Nissan Xterra while another guy was driving a mercedes benz 4matic I was doing around 140 km per hour and overtook the Benz guy, my car is a v6 engine while the guy was driving a v8 engine, better performance and a more recent drive technology compared to my car then.

The guy could not imagine how I overtake him with a less powerful car, he accelerated the more, I must confess it was like a race. I overtook the guy again at 160kilometres per hour and he never caught up with me until we got to the end of the road where we met and the guy screamed guy you got the willpower.

You might have the capacity but lack the willpower to stretch that capacity to its limits. This would definitely limit your level of achievement and utilizing your skills.

You can have the skill, the knowledge, capacity or even have everything you require to succeed, but without willpower, you are going no were.

Without willpower you will still be operating on a mediocre level and achieving less than your installed capacity. Its like in formulae1 racing the guy who wins the race doesn’t necessarily have a more powerful car, but he has the guts and the willpower to stretch his car and do some risky manoeuvres while others are playing it safe.

Always remember that cars don’t move faster than those who drive them( note: this is not an endorsement for excessive speed). You must be determined and make-up your mind to get to greater heights.

Be determined

To your success
